Welcome to Communitas! Communitas is a space for ministry located near the junction of I-285 and I-85 in northern Atlanta. It is a building offered to the service of God for ministering his gospel in and around the Chamblee and Doraville area of Atlanta. It is not a church, but a place where several churches and ministries come together to put God’s Kingdom on display.

The first question people often ask is “What does Communitas mean?” Quite simply, it is a Latin word that means an intense community spirit, the feeling of greater social equality, solidarity, and togetherness. In essence, Communitas describes a deeper life lived together –one in which you have been tested and had to rely on each other. It is a quality of being re-made as a people in unity and trust after living in a fragmented and broken world.
